Accounting Manager
As an accounting manager, you will play a key role in the success of our bank by completing day-to-day accounting functions following generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. But your role will be so much more – you’ll be part of a hardworking team dedicated to not only the financial soundness of Farmers & Merchants Union Bank but to helping to improve the financial well-being of the communities we serve as well.
No previous banking experience is required, as training will be provided. Previous accounting experience is preferred but not necessary. If you have a willingness to learn the art of banking and have the ability to efficiently complete financial reporting, maintain related policies and ensure communication is maintained related to matters and activity within the business, we want to talk to you.
What you can expect to do: • Reconcile corporate bank statements and Federal Reserve accounts; ensure all adjustments are valid. • Monitor investment processes, which may include any of the following: set up and maintain investment system; balance accounts; calculate and post accruals; assist with auditing of matured instruments. Review monthly statements to ensure accuracy. Prepare weekly and monthly reports related to investment system. • Balance general ledger accounts daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly. • Maintain fixed-asset accounting system: set-up, post, and balance prepaid and fixed asset purchases. Record purchases and post depreciation. Prepare monthly and annual reports on current assets; prepare annual personal property tax reports. • Review accounts payable transactions and prepare monthly sales tax report. • Prepare financial statements and accounting entries for related entities. • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing. • Compile information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for taxes, unclaimed property, and the Regulatory reports. • Cross-train and provide backup for all other positions in the accounting department as needed. • Back up the duties of the CFO when needed.

Relationship Banker/Teller
As a relationship banker, you will play a key role in the success of our branches by building and maintaining meaningful relationships with your customers and by using your financial knowledge to help provide thoughtful solutions to meet customers needs. Our relationship bankers assist new and existing customers with the opening of new deposit accounts, processing a variety of financial transactions (check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc.) and accurately balancing these transactions while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude and providing exceptional customer service.
No previous banking experience is required, as training will be provided. If you have a willingness to learn the art of banking and have the ability to deliver exceptional customer service, build relationships with current and prospective customers and respond to simple and complex customer inquiries or service requests in a professional manner, we want to talk to you.
What you can expect to do: • Provide trustworthy, responsive and courteous service • Build lasting relationships with customers, discover their financial needs and tailor products and services to recommend • Operate a teller drawer serving customers in the lobby and/or drive up • Open accounts, perform account maintenance and assist customers with digital products • Recognize potential fraud and other risks • Provide outstanding customer service and display a positive attitude • Other related duties and special projects as assigned
